Water Components & Building Supply, Inc., (WCBS) has supplied material to contractors, architects and engineers to meet the intricate requirements of water-related projects for over 20 years. These projects have included lakes, lagoons, historic sites, aquariums (life support aquaria systems), ecosystems, water chemistry control and programs, wastewater treatment equipment, and underground water systems.

Water Components was established in 1986 as a division of an international firm that specialized in the design and engineering of water features and related projects. This division sourced and procured mechanical packaging and related supplies for projects worldwide.

In 1994, Water Components & Building Supply, Inc. was incorporated as a separate entity, with an office and yard in Sausalito, California. WCBS continued to provide mechanical packages for large commercial projects, focusing on hotels, hospitals, airports and aquariums. In 1996, WCBS relocated to San Rafael and expanded its operations to include underground materials, erosion control, drainage, and associated products.

Water Components has built its reputation on outstanding customer service and its staff’s ability to find and obtain any product, anywhere. Having emerged as a significant supplier in the industry, WCBS provides a variety of water-related products to municipal, county, state, and federal major construction projects, including hazardous superfund sites throughout California.

Water Components responds and delivers, 24/7/365. Emergency responders often call WCBS first when expert advice and immediate response are critical to the resolution of a serious situation. (In November, 2007, WCBS was the first supplier on the scene providing materials to mitigate the oil spill near the San Francisco Bay Bridge.)
